Feeling thankful is a feeling I have everyday; however, during the month of November, I always feel extra thankful. Yes, it is my birth month and therefore I always feel thankful for the opportunity of life, living another year, and usually spend the month reflecting on all I am thankful for. There is just something about November that creates a month full of thankful events, aside from Thanksgiving, I feel more people in general take the time to share their thanks. There seems to be a stronger appreciation and support for small / local business, an awareness of letting others know how much you appreciate them, a stronger sense of community, fellowship.
There is a shift in office atmosphere, there are more potluck events, associates coming together to share stories over good food. It’s like the grind slows for longer periods of appreciation and acknowledgement.
This year, as I reflect during my month of thankful, I feel truly blessed with life and the opportunity to just exist in today’s world. Some days are a challenge, some are dumpster fires, some are glorious, but all make me who I am today and in this moment and for that – I am beyond thankful. I am thankful for my failures, I am thankful for my success, I am thankful for my family and my health, I am thankful for my clients, my professional partnerships, and I am thankful for my fur babies who never leave my side.
As you begin November and this amazing month of thankful, what are you most thankful for? I challenge You to share your thanks with those around you. I encourage you to spend the month going out of your way to thank everyone you come in contact with – at the grocery store, the salon, the gym, the car technicians, doctors, lawyers, investors, gas station attendants, restaurant staff because without them – your days and experiences would be so much different!
Being thankful is endless and free! I am thankful for you and would love to hear how spending this month living each day thankful outloud has changed you and your daily approach and appreciation! Chose to celebrate living and to be extra thankful for those who make your lifestyle possible!
Cheers to you and yours,
Jennifer
